I saw some really interesting art a while ago that explored the notion that angels looked just like demons but that their halos were simply the unbroken circle of their horns. The demons had fallen and had their halos broken which is why they have the standard looking horns.
Anyway, I’ve always liked that idea and the way it portrays angels as being just as terrifying to look at.
