I haven’t been very happy with my backgrounds lately and I think a big part of that is my tendency to leave them to last. Once I’ve done the colours I tend to just want the piece to be done and the background suffers for it.
So THIS week I’ve started thinking about and integrating the background at the sketch stage. Hopefully this will make the whole thing a lot more cohesive.
